Bus Network Changes

From March 2017, light rail construction will mean bus route diversions in the South East and the removal of stops on High Street, Randwick. In Sydney CBD, priority routes now operate along Elizabeth, Castlereagh, Park, Druitt, Clarence and York streets. Buses no longer operate along George Street.

bus changes in the south east

From Friday 31 March 2017 light rail construction will mean bus route diversions in the South East and the removal of stops on High Street.

Routes 348, 370, 400, 410, 418, 891 and M50 will use diverted routes and have new stopping arrangements - see our fact sheet for more details. There will be changed access to UNSW and the Randwick health precinct, so make sure to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

More bus changes will be required in the area as construction continues, look for pink signs at stops or visit transportnsw.info for the latest information.

BUSES IN THE CBD

In October 2015 a new Sydney CBD bus network was introduced with new priority routes along Elizabeth, Castlereagh, Park, Druitt, Clarence and York streets. As part of these changes, and to coincide with major construction of the new light rail, buses stopped using George Street. The new network will ultimately reduce the number of buses caught in peak hour traffic and make it easier to move through the city. The full benefits of the changes will be felt when light rail starts. To plan your trip, go to Transport Info
