16 August, 2017
A Transport for NSW spokesperson reminded light rail customers that essential upgrades and maintenance of the light rail track will occur between Central and Dulwich Hill over two consecutive weekends starting the night of Friday 25 August.
Buses will replace light rail between Central and Dulwich Hill from:
• 11.30pm Friday 25 August to 5.50am Monday 28 August
• 11.30pm Friday 1 September to 5.50am Monday 4 September
“We understand this work can cause disruption for local customers, however it’s necessary to make sure we can keep providing reliable and safe light rail services across our 23 light rail stops,” the spokesperson said.
“There will be plenty of buses operating along the light rail stop routes, with one every ten minutes. Customers are reminded through with all trackwork to allow extra travel time.
“To locate their nearest replacement bus stops, customers just need to follow the yellow wayfinding signage. Information staff will also be on hand at key light rail stops to assist with inquires.”
As part of the weekend’s combined works program, essential works will also be completed as part of the CBD and South East Light Rail project at Hay and George Street intersections.
