Artists, animators and designers are invited to submit video and digital proposals for a new LED art screen at Wynyard Walk.

When it opens in 2016, Wynyard Walk will provide a fully accessible pedestrian link between Wynyard Station, Barangaroo and the CBD’s developing western corridor.

The LED screen, approximately 23 metres long and three metres high, will be installed at the mezzanine level of Wynyard Station’s Clarence St entrance.

It is expected that more than 30,000 commuters and visitors will pass through the location every day, viewing the screen as they move along Wynyard Walk.

A number of artists will be engaged to produce work, with the artwork to be displayed progressively over three years from late 2016. An advisory group, including representatives from Transport for NSW and local galleries, will help select the artists.

Artistic innovation and audience engagement will be at the core of the works by internationally renowned and emerging Australian artists. The art will be curated by Cultural Capital for the Wynyard Walk Project in this new landmark public space.

Potential applicants should visit the  Cultural Capital website for further information. Expression of Interests close on 2 February, 2016.
